Visual Projects & Collaborations

I am available for commission to develop long-term photographic projects in collaboration with companies, publishers, institutions, and cultural organizations. These are not day-to-day assignments — they are structured collaborations rooted in storytelling, place, memory, and identity.

With a background in documentary photography and over 20 years of professional experience, I bring a thoughtful, narrative approach to my photography. I see it as an interpretive process that turns ideas, histories, and identities into images. My projects often culminate in books, exhibitions, or visual archives designed to leave a lasting cultural legacy.

Each collaboration is unique. I often work alongside designers, editors, curators, and local experts to shape the project —whether the focus is architectural, historical, territorial, or social.

Types of project can include:

  • Company Anniversaries and Brand Heritage

  • Architectural, Urban or Territorial Transformation

  • Cultural Heritage and Tourism Campaigns

  • Institutional Archives and Exhibitions

  • Family Histories and Estate Documentation

  • Social and Humanitarian Comisssions

Case Studies

The Library – Bertani Winery

An editorial and digital project celebrating Bertani's 65-year archive of their wines in Valpolicella. The photography combined still-life images of 45 vintage wine bottles along with black and white reportage and details made around the vineyards, cellars and laboratories of the Bertani winery.

The project, a luxurious book and award-winning website, was shot exclusively by myself, designed by Studio Idee Materia with styling by 02Studio.

Viaggio in Bonifica – Landscapes of the Venice Lagoon

Commissioned by the Consorzio di Bonifica Veneto Orientale, this series explored the fragile reclaimed landscape around the Venice lagoon. My role was to document the four major rivers passing through the area. I was given complete creative freedom for the project and in this case chose to work with black and white film, shooting with a quiet, timeless quality to the images.

Published as a book, major exhibition and image archive. Curated by Francesco Finotto.

Plain Landscapes – Treviso Province

This is an on-going, self-commissioned project documenting the plain of the Treviso province - a place where history, culture, industry and social change sit together, often uncomfortably. The photographs aim to question preconceptions and art-historical stereotypes around the idea of the Italian Landscape..  especially when viewed from the eyes of an Englishman that has lived in the area for over 20 years.

The project will include contributions by a local art historian and an urban designer. Once completed it will be published and exhibited.

Primavera di Passione – Consorzio Prosecco DOC

A two-month project documenting the people and events behind the 'Primavera di Prosecco'. Commissioned by the Consorzio Prosecco DOC for a book, exhibition and image archive, curated by Miro Graziotin. Although I was given creative freedom in this project I made an effort to provide the client with an archive of images that would ultimately prove useful for them.

I shot the project in a fairly loose, contemporary style, concentrating on the volunteers working behind the scenes.

Fraore – Barilla Family Estate

This was a three-year documentation of the Barilla family’s home and gardens near Parma. The resulting book captured a poetic visual record of the house, family and staff through the seasons. I applied a quiet, elegant visual language throughout the project, combining lansdcapes, home interiors and portraits.

This was a private commission by Luca Barilla with text by the journalist Maria Mataluno and graphic design by Derek Stewart.

Let's Work Together

If you're planning a publication, exhibition, or cultural initiative—or simply want to explore the potential of an in-depth photographic project—I’d be really happy to discuss how we might collaborate. Whether working independently or as part of a wider team, I bring a thoughtful, experienced approach to every stage of the process: from shaping the initial concept to defining the right format and assembling the necessary collaborators.

If you have an idea in mind, or would like to arrange an initial meeting to explore possibilities, feel free to get in touch.
