This is a series of what I like to think of as fictional landscapes, exploring environmental themes through satellite imagery. Each panel is made from up to 3000 small pieces of image, cut and pasted to create a digital mosaic following a particular theme.

I'm interested here in looking at the mechanisms that sustain the global economy, whether concerning the production of food and energy, transportation and infrastructure as well as the environmental footprints of human activity.

 

The series was exhibited at the Luisa Catucci Gallery, Berlin, in 2017,  Galleria Civica, Vittorio Veneto in 2022 and was shortlisted for Time, Space. Existence, ECC-Venice Biennale/Palazzo Bembo in 2020.
